In a time when most research firms are laying off their talents, the Maravedis Team is pleased to welcome Julien Blin as our Senior Analyst, Broadband Applications, who will be covering mobile content and fixed wireless applications. In fact, Julien is not new at Maravedis since he was a researcher with us back in 2005. Julien is an experienced former IDC Wireless Analyst covering the U.S. Mobile Entertainment space. He is very familiar with some of the most talked about topics in the U.S. wireless industry such as mobile social networking, mobile user-generated content/services, mobile advertising and wireless data. During his time at IDC, he was in charge of building key market forecasts such as the U.S. Wireless Messaging (SMS, MMS, IM) and Ringtone Forecasts. He was also responsible for IDC’s U.S. Mobile Data Services Qview, a service providing comprehensive analysis of the top 10 domestic wireless carriers from a data content and services point of view. In 2008, Julien held an Equity Research position at Wedbush Morgan Securities, a leading sell-side investment bank in Los Angeles, where he was covering public companies like Amdocs, Garmin, Openwave, Syniverse, TCS, and Nuance.
