First Impressions from WiMAX World
Adlane Fellah, President and CEO

So here we are back at WIMAX World already, this time in Chicago. The choice of the city makes sense since Sprint is deploying its XOHM service with Motorola right here. Maravedis had a busy pre-conference day at the WiMAX World Chicago conference.  A whole afternoon workshop by Maravedis was spent covering deployment trends, spectrum analysis, consumer electronics and IPR and then finally PTP trends. Robert Syputa will share his thoughts about the rapidly evolving landscape that sees WiMAX becoming a part of a converged wireless industry. Opportunities are rapidly developing but that increases the potential for conflicts over spectrum and IPR to come to the forefront. The rollout of the mobile version of WiMAX and rapid development of 802.16m which will contend for a leadership role in IMT-Advanced will also be discussed. more…
