WiMAX and LTE Trends Update

On March 4, we have organized a successful webinar titled “WiMAX, LTE and Broadband Wireless Worldwide Market Trends - 2008-2014”. With more than 1000 participants, the audience consisted of a wide representation of the ecosystem with a broad presence on the equipment supply side

The webinar provided an industry update of 2007 figures for equipment shipments, WiMAXCounts statistics and the latest in the WiMAX forum certification and membership. Further the presenters discussed the broadband wireless drivers and trends. Interestingly, the audience seemed quite split when asked what are the biggest challenges ahead of wide-scale WIMAX deployments. As shown in the following exhibit, the WiMAX business plan still requires to be proven, at least for mobile WiMAX. That is certainly good news for our partners from WIMAX 20/20 who provide assistance to service providers in building business models with their WiROItm tool. more…



Limited WiMAX Penetration in Canada

This positions Canada as the ninth largest market in the world in terms of broadband subscribers.
