Citation Policy
General Rules
Maravedis Research is proprietary to Maravedis Inc. and subject to copyright and property protections. Commercial use of the research is prohibited. Maravedis analysts provide quotes for client marketing material, such as press releases upon request, and all quotes are subject to written approval. (See below for specific approval instructions).
Media & Press
Written approval is required for anything not appearing on the Maravedis corporate website. Members of the press do not require approval when using material already available on the corporate website (diagrams, graphs, tables and quotes) provided that:
- All portions of text identify 'Maravedis Inc.' as the source
- The Maravedis copyright statement (© Maravedis 2010) is affixed to all graphics
- The quoted analyst contact includes, full name, title, and company (Maravedis)
- All quotes are accurate, quoted verbatim, and/or duplicated without being manipulated, adapted, paraphrased, or summarized, and must not be used out of context
Clients & Non-Clients
Maravedis requires that a report be purchased prior to it being cited, and client-generated material must be submitted to Maravedis for an accuracy check and approval. Exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis for those seeking to quote Maravedis research that has not been purchased.
- All references must identify 'Maravedis Inc.' as the source and provide the name and contact information (title and email) for the analyst responsible for referenced report.
- The Maravedis copyright statement (© Maravedis 2010) must be affixed to all graphics
- All citations must be quoted verbatim, without being manipulated, adapted, paraphrased, or summarized, and must not be used out of context
- Quotes must not contain more than an insubstantial portion of the data. For example, if quoting a 5-year forecast, it is permissible to cite the overall totals for the 1st and 5th years of the forecast, but it is not permissible to cite the annual and quarterly data points between them.
How to Get Approval
Send your request to marketing@maravedis-bwa.com and include:
- All requests to use quotations, graphs, diagrams and/or tables should be submitted in their final media vehicle, e.g., press release, marketing materials, presentation, etc.
- All of the elements in the above guidelines should be included for approval (copyright statement, source, attribution, etc.)
